Registration with the Allied
Health Professions Council
Every Physiotherapist who wants to work in Namibia is required by law to register with the Allied Health Professions Council of Namibia.

Regulations & Requirements
The regulations for registration as a Physiotherapist in Namibia stipulate that the minimum requirement (referred to in the Namibian Allied Health Professions Act, 2004) which entitles a person to be registered as a Physiotherapist, is a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiotherapy obtained at an educational institution after the full time study of Physiotherapy for a period of not less than four years at such educational institution.
The regulations also state that all new applicants with a 4 year Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy who want to register as a Physiotherapist in Namibia will have to complete a year of internship training unless they can motivate that they already have the necessary practical experience after qualification to become eligible for full registration.
