Regulations and Requirements
The regulations for registration as a physiotherapist in Namibia stipulate that the minimum requirement (referred to in the Namibian Allied Health Professions Act, 2004) which entitles a person to be registered as a physiotherapist, is a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiotherapy obtained at an educational institution after the full time study of physiotherapy for a period of not less than four years at such educational institution.
The regulations also state that all new applicants with a 4 year bachelor degree in physiotherapy who want to register as a physiotherapist in Namibia will have to complete a year of internship training unless they can motivate that they already have the necessary practical experience after qualification to become eligible for full registration.
